Mission Statement

Warren/Conner Development Coalition acts as a catalyst to improve the quality of life on Detroit’s Eastside.

Vision

The Warren/Conner Development Coalition envisions a healthy, diverse Eastside community of individuals, families, businesses, and organizations that guide its institutions, influences its development, and controls its destiny.

W/CDC’s Pledge to the Community

We pledge that we will be community directed and work on behalf of the community’s continual self-empowerment. We promise that our actions will be determined by our mission, focused on our vision, and guided by our principles.

W/CDC’s Guiding Principles

The community’s power and economic wealth is in its collective knowledge and collaborative efforts. Each member of our community has value and can make significant contributions. Our work is primarily and fundamentally built on the assets of our community and abilities by our community. Residents define the community’s future and its direction. Our public officials and institutions are accountable to our community and our citizens are accountable to each other. Social and economic diversity and equity will make our community thrive. All perspective and points of view are important and should be respected, even when we disagree. Quality education and the development of our youth are the core of the community’s health.
